A Stripey Affair.

I've been cheating on classic plain shades and tones with stripes.
All over the catwalks, designers have taken a horizontal and vertical approach to their collections, many using stripes, zig-zags and other linear patterns to elongate the models' features.
Here are some of the best from SS13:

PRADA

SPORTMAX

MOSCHINO

CELINE
I particularly like this one due to the stripe down the side of the leg, which not only adds another dimension to the design but elongates that leg, making you look thinner and taller. There is also a very good adaptation in Topshop if you are requiring a more purse friendly price.

ISABEL MARANT

JIL SANDER
This dress is quite something. It's oversized maxi style compliments the bold thick stripes of the pattern. It would work on certain body shapes, but if going for this type of design, make sure it doesn't swallow you up! There are plenty of gorgeous maxi dresses out there for all shapes.

CYNTHIA STEFFE

JASON WU
I love the contrasting patterns! J'adore.

What are your favourites?

Lots of love,
