Both of these pieces are from Next's SS13 collection. The simply adorable polka dot pattern on the shirt (right) is summery, cute and adaptable. It's ability to go with anything will 100% make this one of your summer staples. Pair with a cute pair of white shorts, or be daring and try the double denim craze. Just remember, don't match the denim shades, go one shade darker or lighter for a fierce ontrend look. The dress is completely compatible with a wide variety of products. Pair with chunky heel boots for a killer night-out look, or sweet blazer for those warmer days out shopping! The dark denim tone is simply divine and the fit around the waist will enable this dress to suit alot of shapes and sizes. If your worried about the length, a pair of tights would be your solution as it is dark enough to make an impact, but not too bold to look drab in the summer!
I could not be more relieved that the dungaree and pinafore dress is back (see right). I have already gone out and purchased several summer staples in this form, and I cannot stop wearing them! They're effortlessly cool, go with near enough everything and they are right on trend! This one is a particular favourite of mine. I love the pleated effect in the skirt as it adds a "school girl" feel, which to some may be a negative, but if you embrace it's fun and free-spirited side, will definitely enable you to roam free with no rules. Perfect for hot days on out shopping and in the winter with a pair of thick tights. Wow, I love diversity! The cute little tee on the left is a perfect example of a layering necessity. Not only would it look great paired under the dungaree dress for the already mentioned, daring double denim look, but also with the Leatherette trend which is circulating in the high-street shops at the moment. Both from TOPSHOP.
What I love about denim is that it can be anything you want it to be. Girly, simple, sexy or hellishly dangerous and daring. The ripped effect on the shirt adds a edgy twist to an otherwise plain design. It's loose, boyfriend fit will look great thrown over a dress, or paired carefully with some jeans. The shorts on the right are perfect for festivals. The ombre style that is created can be found all over the SS13 catwalks (see below) and contrasts perfectly against the aztec pattern. J'adore. Both from Lavish Alice.
|All Saints Ombre collection - isn't my personal favourite colour|
