Christopher Shannon SS15 LCM

On Sunday 15th June, I was delighted to be able to attend the latest offering from Christopher Shannon. The brand began in 2008 and aims to move menswear on from its traditional tailoring elements and into a more modern and diverse style. Shannon's accolades, nominations and shortlists for multiple awards are extensive and include some of the finest and most prestigious awards within the industry. His new collection was an eagerly anticipated show for the upcoming season. 

Drawing upon inspirations from emo culture, specifically that of teenagers, Shannon used elements of paraphernalia and items that may commonly be found in a teenagers bedroom - dream catchers and dolphin motifs, for instance. This is visible through the ripped up collage prints, teenage scrap book inspiration and oversized, heavy, drop sleeve t-shirts. This year, Shannon launched his first sunglass collection, too.
